Birželio 5 d. naktį Pardubicės mieste su prekiniu traukiniu susidūrė keleivinis traukinys, važiavęs iš Prahos (Čekija) į Košicę (Slovakija) ir Čopą (Ukraina). Jau pranešama apie 4 žuvusius ir dešimtis sužeistųjų.

Gelbėtojai pranešė, kad greituoju traukiniu važiavo 380 keleivių. Prekiniame traukinyje, gabenusiame kalcio karbidą, pirmieji du vagonai buvo tušti, todėl cheminė medžiaga nenutekėjo.
